ELSA Support
An ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) is a member of staff who is trained to support children in the development of their Emotional literacy. The ELSA’s at Runcorn All Saints’s are Mrs McCarthy and Mrs Macpherson. They work across the school so know all our children. Mrs Macpherson delivers ELSA sessions in the afternoons in her Nurture Room, a room which is a dedicated calm, safe and supporting environment for the children.
Bespoke Nurture Curriculum
Some pupils find it very difficult to access the full school offer all day every day. In order to support their eduction in mainstream school, some pupils recieve a bespoke nurture curriculum that supports and enhances their core offer. This looks very different for each pupil that accesses it but for all pupils the benefits to their mental health and well-being and academic attainment and progress is huge.
